Prolific young adult author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
A representative for the company commented: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an investigation into reports of inappropriate behaviour involving female individuals.
The publisher did not confirm the motivations for this action, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
He has published over four dozen titles in total, encompassing a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
